Hi, Is it possible to run the fan while it is plugged into a 12VDC camp battery? Thanks.

We've tested this out instore, and you sure can. Just flick the switch off battery mode, to power.

Disable oscillation?1 answer
Hi, can you disable the oscillation function on this 8 inch model and the larger 12 inch model?
Nath - Adelaide Bc, SA(11 months ago)
G'day Nath,
Yep, you absolutely can. The Grey cap in the centre of the fan is actually a dial which either locks the fan in place, or releases it for oscillation. Hope that helps!

Hanging1 answer
Can this fan be hung from the top of hiking tent to blow down? Or is it only operational on the stand?
Tania - Randwick(1 year ago)
G'day Tania,
There aren't any attachment points to hang this fan, but if your tent could withstand the weight, and you had a way to suspend it, then it could possibly work, however it's not something we'd be comfortable recommending.

What is the difference between this 8" Coleman fan, and the black 8* fan ?1 answer
besides the weight and huge price?
Lea - Eastern Heights(2 years ago)
G'day Lea,
The two models are effectively the same in terms of features and function. The Black model has a Lithium-Ion battery, which is lighter and the white model has a lead-acid battery which is heavier.

batteries 1 answer
can you use own batteries (rechargeable or not)
Joshua - Victoria Point(3 years ago)
G'day Joshua,
The Lithium battery is a 'cell pack' and is specific to this fan and as such we can't recommend using your own batteries as a replacement as this may void the warranty or damage the fan. If they do need replacing it would be worth contacting Coleman or visiting an electronics store.
