Can you tell me in km what the broadcast distance is
Ben - Burpengary, QLD(6 months ago)
GME do not make any distance claims on any of their radios due to all the variables in conditions and environment. They obviously advertise the full transmission power, but 2 people with the same radio may have vastly different broadcast distances due to the above factors. In absolutely ideal conditions, eg across the hay plain, you could possibly have up to 25km on a 5 watt fixed UHF radio. In other circumstances, you may only get 5-10km.
